Design Features

This bridle is built around a figure-8, or grackle, noseband: two straps that cross over the nose and fasten below the cheeks, keeping the mouth closed, the jaw from crossing and the bit steady. Because the cross sits high on the nose, the nostrils stay clear at speed, which is why the grackle is the noseband of choice for jumping and cross country. Contrast fancy stitching runs through the browband and the crossing straps.
